HTC UniversalでWi-Fi(802.11g)が使用できる？？

msmobiles.comここでこんな記事がでてましたが、本当にできるのかな？下記のレジストリ弄ればいいみたいですが・・・。

The test was done in the following way: a Wi-Fi access point that previously was running in 802.11g-only mode, had to be put into dual mode (802.11b + 802.11g) to support Orange M5000 (HTC Universal), but thanks to making the following changes into registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE??COMM??TIACXWLN1??PARMS: dot11SupportedRateMask=1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE??COMM??TIACXWLN1??PARMS: dot11SupportedRateMaskG=8

... the HTC Universal is able to access Wi-Fi access point that works in 802.11g -only mode. PHM Registry Editor was used to effect this change (but any freeware or commerical registy editor can do it). As before with HTC Wizard, please note: you must reset your phone after making the changes in the registry!

ししまるの野望日記さんとここでもチャレンジしたみたい。何も変わらなかったようですね〜。じぃさんもやってみたのかな？うちもやってみたけど変化無し・・・・・。レジ捨てておこうかな？
